Brave Warriors eye repeat against Tunisia

Namibia will go up against Tunisia in their fourth match of the CAF 2026 World Cup qualifiers at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday evening.

Kick-off is at 18:00 CAT.

Tunisia are currently sitting at the top of Group H with nine points, they are unbeaten and have won all three of their fixtures prior to this one. As for Namibia, they are in second place and have seven points as they are yet to lose a match in these qualifiers.

For Namibia, it will be crucial for the team to win this fixture and it is well within their reach as they defeated the Carthage Eagles in the group stages of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament earlier this year.

On Wednesday, Tunisia beat Equatorial Guinea 1-0, and prior to that they saw off Sao Tome 4-0 and also beat Malawi 1-0 in their qualifying campaign. They will be hoping to continue their winning and clean sheet streak.

The Brave Warriors will be without their talisman Peter Shalulile, but have shown capability of pushing on without the key Mamelodi Sundowns striker.

Carl Karuuombe’s goal against Liberia last time out was Collin Benjamin’s charges first competitive goal since defeating the Eagles of Carthage in January, and the midfielder should start in what may be a similar side to the one that faced Liberia a few days ago.
