City eye Kudus in January transfer window

According to a report in English football, Manchester City are exploring the possibility of triggering Mohammed Kudus' release clause at West Ham during the January transfer window.

With the reigning league champions crippled with injuries during the 2024/25 campaign, it’s been reported that Pep Guardiola could look to strengthen his squad in the next couple of weeks.

According to Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke, Kudus has once again attracted big money interest from top clubs in the Premier League.

The former Ajax Amsterdam star has an £85million release clause inserted in his deal, with City believed to be keen on tapping into.

Before City's interest in Kudus, it's believed that the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal have also showcased their interest in the Ghanaian star.

However, sources have told Football Insider that it would be 'extremely unlikely' for Kudus to leave West Ham in the January transfer window and that clubs could look to revisit the deal at the end of the campaign.
