Arsenal could make an offer for Ronald Araujo 'in the next few days', although they are unlikely to offer the €70-80m Barcelona may want for him.

That's according to Sport, who say the defender could be 'living his last days' as a Barcelona player as he wants to leave the club.

His agents are moving in the to find suitors and there are several European teams that considering buying the Uruguayan this month.

The first to move was Juventus, who offered €35m for him. That was categorically rejected by Barcelona's directorate. They would only agree to sell for €70-80m.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus will offer that price. They are considering upping their bid to at least €50m.

In the meantime, other clubs could move and Arsenal are one of them in the picture. They are also 'after' the defender and the belief is that they could make an offer 'in the next few days'.

This would please Barcelona as they see Arsenal as a club who could match their 'aspirations' to raise a good sum for the defender.

The Catalan club are now in a 'period of waiting' in which they hope Arsenal, Juventus and any other clubs offer a figure they can all agree on for Araujo this month.
