Anthony's day at Swansea

Jaidon Anthony was involved in our first goal in the 2-0 win at Swansea before scoring the second in what was one of his best all round performances since joining the Clarets from Bournemouth just after the start of the season.
His performance won him both the man of the match and the player ratings here on Up the Clarets but it was a close run thing for both.
The man of the match vote saw the lead swapping hands between two players throughout with Anthony finally winning it with 41% of the vote, just ahead of Josh Laurent, who was outstanding in the midfield, who won 39%. Josh Brownhill, scorer of the first to take his tally this season to thirteen, was third with 9% while Maxime Estève came in fourth with just 3% of the vote.
The top two in the vote were also the top two in the ratings with both passing eight out of ten for a very good performance. Again Anthony was the winner with rating of 8.29 out of ten, followed by Laurent with 8.19. Third this time was Estève with 7.87 and then Brownhill in fourth place eith a rating of 7.68 out of ten.
That's a maximum ten points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year for Anthony with Laurent winning six points along with three points apiece for Brownhill and Estève.
Estève is now 32 points clear of CJ Egan-Riley at the top of the table. Anthony has moved alongside Hannibal into joint sixth place with Laurent moving up to tenth.
The next vote will be underway in ten days time following the home game against Bristol City.
