According to a claim in the French media, Metz are showing interest in Burnley defender Hannes Delcroix.

The 25-year-old has been snubbed by Scott Parker this season and could look to leave Turf Moor in this transfer window.

Foot Mecarto have reported on Metz's pursuit of Delcroix following reports their central defender Sadibou Sané could be signing for Saint Etienne before transfer deadline.

Subsequently, the Ligue 2 side have turned their attention to the Burnley player as they look to bring in a possible replacement for Sané. Metz are currently second in the league table and are on course for promotion to Ligue 1.

It's claimed the French club are considering making an offer for the Belgian and would look to loan him until the end of the season, with an option to purchase him in the summer.

Oxford United are also said to be interested in signing Delcoix according to reports in the UK media.

Delcoix has yet to make an appearance for Burnley this season and is contracted to the Championship side until June 2026.
