Blackburn Rovers 'pressing' in move for forward – Player likely to depart club this month

Blackburn Rovers are well in contention to earn promotion to the Premier League.
They are seventh in the Championship – only one point behind sixth-placed West Bromwich Albion and the play-off places. John Eustace’s side are already looking to bolster their squad for the second-half of the campaign, as they hope to seal promotion to the top flight.
One player they’e trying to bring into the squad in January is striker Augustus Kargbo, who plies his trade with Serie B side Cesena.
Corriere dello Sport have reported that Blackburn Rovers are looking to land the Sierra Leone forward this month and there is an indication they have been interested in him in the past as well.
PianetaSerieB have added some information about 25-year-old Kargbo, who is said to be seriously considering an exit from Cesena after a bad run of form this season.
The forward has only three goals in Serie B this season and has two assists to his name so far.
He was key to the Italian side’s promotion to the second division in Italy last season, as he scored nine goals and had ten assists in Serie C.
That should offer promise to Blackburn Rovers, who have scored the least amount of goals amongst the Championship’s top ten this season.
