Off to a good start

Andrey Santos rejoined RC Strasbourg on loan last month — after initially looking like he might stick around with Chelsea — and has picked up right where he left off when he was there on loan last season.

The 20-year-old midfielder scored in each of his first two games, including the opening goal in a 3-1 win over Stade Rennais just 23 minutes into his second debut for the club. Santos then also gave his team the lead against Olympique Lyonnais a week later, though RCSA would be unable to hang on as Lyon came from two goals down to win 4-3.

Still, Santos' good start to the season has been recognized by the league, as he was named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month for August.

Santos has played every minute that he's been available for since returning to Strasbourg, including in a 1-1 draw against Angers this weekend (which also featured the debut of Đorđe Petrović).

Congrats, Andrey! Keep it up.
