Chelsea analyst Kyle Macaulay to join Graham Potter at West Ham — report

He was still here?!
Long-time "confidant" Kyle Macaulay is set join up once again with Graham Potter, who recently returned to football management after a nearly two-year (paid) sabbatical. Potter was appointed the new head coach at West Ham United a couple weeks ago, and Macaulay is now set to follow him once again. The two had worked together previously at Östersunds, Swansea City, Brighton & Hove Albion, and then Chelsea as well.
Macaulay was one of the few from the Potter Crew to stick around after Potter's sacking in the spring of 2023, presumably continuing in his role as recruitment analyst though taking a backseat to the current braintrust at sporting director. Macaulay was a key part of Potter's appointment, working closely to help align the two sides of the football operation (especially when co-owner Todd Boehly was still the acting sporting director in the first half of 2022-23) but we've not heard much about him of late.
In any case, the move is expected to be made official later this week. It doesn't sound like we're going to name a specific replacement for him.
Exclusive: West Ham agree deal with Chelsea to reunite Graham Potter with key recruitment ally Kyle Macaulay. Confirmation expected this week. Story with @JBurtTelegraph#cfc#whufchttps://t.co/GaoGMO7Tya
