Southampton midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu sent a message to fans on social media after their 3-2 loss to Nottingham Forest.
The French midfielder came off the bench at half-time to assist Jan Bednarek as the Saints narrowly lost against Forest (19 January).
Elliott Anderson opened the scoring for the Tricky Trees in the 11th minute, following a neat flick from Morgan Gibbs-White.
Callum Hudson-Odoi then scored a second for Forest, following an assist from Chris Wood. The Kiwi then netted a third for the Reds and looked to have put the game to bed.
However, Southampton weren’t about to go down without a fight, and following Bednarek’s goal, Paul Onuachu scored a late second for the Saints that proved to only be a consolation.

Under new boss, Ivan Juric, the former Rennes midfielder has put in some good performances lately, even if Southampton are still struggling to win matches.
Following the defeat, Ugochukwu posted on his Instagram story, saying: “Good reaction but not enough to get something yesterday. Back to work.”
Southampton will face Newcastle in their next game on 25 January, as they desperately try and gather points that could help them in survive relegation.
The January transfer window looks like it could be a busy one for the Saints, with Kyle Walker-Peters potentially moving to Everton in a cut-price deal.
In other news, the Saints’ may be set to lose their young superstar to Man United.
