Money movin'

Towering France U20 center back Mamadou Sarr is set to move between BlueCo entities, with Chelsea reportedly set to add him to our books and remove him from RC Strasbourg's books.

All that glamour of modern football aside, Not-Malang Sarr seems quite highly rated and quite a promising young defender, standing an already impressive 6'4" (194cm) and part of the France U19 squad that finished runners-up to Spain last summer at the U19 Euros. He's been a regular for RCSA, starting 12 of their last 14 league matches, including the last seven on the bounce.

BlueCo paid €10m to get Sarr from Olympique Lyonnais last summer. BlueCo will now pay BlueCo somewhere around €13-14m but maybe as high as €20m to move him to Chelsea. Sarr will stay with Strasbourg for the rest of the season, so this will either be a future transfer or a current transfer with a loan back (which would of course take up a scarce foreign-loan spot).
