Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has put a guarantee on Chelsea signing one player in the summer of 2025 in his latest exclusive report for GIVEMESPORT.
Romano has been dropping a few Chelsea transfer updates this morning, and had some news on a potential new striker arriving at Stamford Bridge next month for the winter transfer window out earlier today.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea already agree terms for player to sign in the summer!
Other than that, there is a few situations that are to play out and a few players who could depart that would come as a bit of a surprise to say the least.
Then there is the situation of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, who is currently on a season long loan deal at Chelsea.
Sancho will not be returning to United
Romano says Sancho will definitely stay as a Chelsea player into next season as well.
He says:
"The English winger is considered a crucial part of the squad with Chelsea's target to return to Champions League football in 2025, but one thing is guaranteed for sure: regardless of Chelsea's final position in the Premier League table this season, Sancho will be at Cobham wearing blue next season and beyond.
"This is not going to change anything in the agreement between Man United and Chelsea, with a deal in place since the end of August. They tried to make it work with players included, but Ben Chilwell was never a concrete option, while there was no chance for Man United to accept Raheem Sterling as part of the negotiation. The two clubs ended up closing the deal with Chelsea covering the main part of Sancho's salary, plus a loan with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2025 for Financial Fair Play reasons."
