There's a claim in the Brazilian media that Chelsea youngster Deivid Washington is on the verge of signing for Santos.
The 19-year-old has been part of Chelsea’s U21s set up this season, but will be sent on loan to potentially get first team experience.
André Hernan reports on Santos’ pursuit for Deivid and he says the young forward will be loaned out to the Brazilian giants, stating the loan will last until the end of this year.
The Brazilian journalist reports the finer details of the deal, including his salary, are currently being discussed and his transfer from Chelsea should be made official soon.
With Neymar also returning to his former club, this will give the Chelsea player a chance to play alongside his boyhood hero for possibly the next 11 months.
Deivid came through the Santos youth system before Chelsea signed him from the Sao Paulo side in 2023. He featured in the Premier League last season, but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues in this campaign.
He's contracted to Chelsea until June 2030, with the London club having the option to extend this for another season.
