Marc Cucurella shares hilarious Chelsea post after Man City defeat

Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella shared a humorous photo on social media despite the Blues' defeat to Man City in the Premier League.
Enzo Maresca's side took an early lead after capitalising on a mistake by Abdukodir Khusanov, with Noni Madueke finding the net.
However, City responded with goals from Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland, and Phil Foden to secure a 3-1 victory at the Etihad.
Cucurella started the match and, despite the disappointing result, took to Instagram. He posted a humorous photo of being edited into a miniature version of himself with the caption: "The beginning of the year” and later posted it on his story.

The Spaniard has been a key figure under Enzo Maresca this season, making 19 league starts and contributing three goals and three assists in all competitions.
His consistent performances have cemented his place in the squad, leading to uncertainty for other options at left-back. Renato Veiga opted to join Juventus on loan after growing frustrated with his lack of game time.
Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell has fallen out of favour, making just one appearance this season. The Englishman has been linked with West Ham and Crystal Palace, both exploring moves before the January window closes.

Chelsea now sit sixth in the Premier League, a point behind Manchester City, but have won just once in their last seven league games.
