TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Arsenal made a last-ditch attempt to try and keep Manchester United-bound Ayden Heaven at N5.

TBR Football revealed in December that Arsenal were in danger of losing Heaven amid interest from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City.

Since then, the Red Devils have moved for Heaven, who was in attendance at Old Trafford last week for their 2-1 Europa League win over Rangers.

TBR Football can also reveal which other Premier League clubs Heaven has spoken to in recent weeks before ultimately opting for Man United.

Ayden Heaven picked Manchester United over the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Eintracht Frankfurt wanted Heaven, as did RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.

Heaven spoke to Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United in the last six weeks, but he opted for Man United.

Frankfurt, Leipzig and Dortmund pushed hard for Heaven, while Arsenal made a final offer to him two weeks ago, but again he said no.

Heaven, who Jacek Kulig has described as a “complete, dominant and elegant” defender, has rejected a number of fresh attempts from the Gunners to tie him down to a professional deal.

Why Manchester United are so eager to sign Ayden Heaven

Romano recently claimed that Man United are so eager to sign Heaven because they want to bring in players for the present and also for the future.

"Manchester United want to hijack this new deal for the player and bring Ayden Heaven to Old Trafford," Romano said last week.

"They believe at Manchester United that he's a top player for the future.

"They're building a lot for the future – remember what they did with Sekou Kone, remember what they did with Chido Obi Martin and more players for present and future.

"So Man United want to obviously do investments for the first team, but also for the academy, for the future of the club and for players who can already be part of the first team view in few years.

"They believe that this is absolutely crucial to rebuild the Manchester United future, the project and so important contacts ongoing with Manchester United seen as leading the race for Ayden Heaven."
