The Chelsea Chronicle have a really interesting exclusive with Graeme Bailey where the transfer guru claimed to know what the Blues are going to do with two bright young attacking stars set to arrive next summer.
"What I'm hearing about Estevao and Kendry Paez – Chelsea are making sure that there's going to be room for those two guys next summer to mature. The excitement I'm hearing from some Chelsea sources about those two, they think they've hit the jackpot, especially with Estevao. They think they've beaten Real Madrid and Barcelona to Estevao," Bailey wrote.
Chelsea forced to answer some impossible questions by depth of talent
So what does "making sure there's going to be room" for those two mean exactly? Well for one, it seems to make clear that neither will be going back out on loan. Once they're signed, they're here to stay. It also essentially promises that some of our current attacking options will be moved on.
The question is who? There's already a jog jam for first team minutes which is keeping Enzo Fernandez and Christopher Nkunku out of the Premier League team. Adding Estevao and Kendry to the mix just guarantees more dissatisfaction unless sales are made.
"They're going to make sure those two have everything they need to push for first team football, and if it means making room for them in the squad, some of them could find themselves the odd man out," Bailey adds, to make things very clear.
Pedro Neto is just coming into form, Noni Madueke has impressed to start the season, Mykhailo Mudryk looks to be on the right path, then there are academy talents like Tyrique George… some very hard decisions are going to have to be made in the next 6 months it seems.
