Hmmm

Chelsea welcomed back no fewer than four players to training yesterday as we began preparations for the weekend, but Reece James was not among them, with "no sign of an imminent return" on the horizon for the club captain, as per the BBC.

Enzo Fernández and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who both missed Saturday's 1-0 win over AFC Bournemouth with illness, were back to training on Monday, as were Malo Gusto and Roméo Lavia, who had been dealing with hamstring problems over the past few weeks. But James was still not among the players training, despite being expected to return from his own latest hamstring issue after the international break.

And it doesn't sound like he's very close to coming back at all, which is certainly disappointing and frustrating and highly concerning. James missed most of last season after opting for surgery on a (different?) hamstring problem, and has managed just 26 Premier League appearances over the past two seasons altogether.
