Premier League player now of 'major interest' to Chelsea – has been linked before

One current Premier League player is now apparently of 'major interest' to Chelsea, and it's not the firs time we have seen these links.

As we approach the January transfer window, Chelsea, and all clubs in fact, will be looking at what transfer decisions they might be making in the next one or two windows as plans will come together.

Chelsea have been signing new players for fun since the new owners came in, but you wouldn't put it past them continuing that expenditure as they continue to rebuild the squad from top to bottom. It seems like it is now quite close to being rebuilt, however, there is no doubts still a number of new positions that they could look to sign in.

One player who Chelsea have previously been linked with, Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves, is being linked with them once again.

Ait-Nouri to Chelsea?

Sources have told Molineux News of attention that one player is generating around Europe, as Rayan Ait-Nouri's future in Wolverhampton is in doubt.

They say that Ait-Nouri is of "major interest" to Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as other clubs around Europe.

The outlet has also been informed that the 2024/25 campaign will represent Ait-Nouri's last at Wolves, with it most likely that the 23-year-old will leave in the summer rather than the January window.

So if Chelsea are going to really go in for the full back then they might have a battle on their hands with Liverpool, but you can certainly see something developing here, as Chelsea have continued to be linked with wanting to sign new left backs in recent weeks despite having Marc Cucurella, Renato Veiga, and Ben Chilwell already in the ranks.

Could be an interesting situation to watch if anything develops here.
