Matt Law went on the London is Blue podcast today, where he and the host rated the Blues best and worst moves of the window.
The long, long pause when both have to think of their "best" move is telling. But in the end they each come up with a convincing argument for why at least one of the incomings and outgoings could be great. Of course in both cases, we will need more time before we can really be sure.
Selling Romelu Lukaku for a decent fee certainly is a relief – although it's hard to think of taking a £70m loss on a player who barely played for you as anything other than a disaster, as a sale in isolation it could have been a lot worse.
