Mandeville reaches milestone

The Spireites' current longest-serving player Liam Mandeville made his 250th appearance for the club, in all competitions, against Port Vale in Saturday’s 1-1 draw. On reaching this milestone, Mandeville said: "It's a very proud moment for me, I would obviously like to get over 300 appearances and then see where I can go from there." Mandeville played an integral role in the Spireites winning the National League last season, scoring eight goals and registering 16 assists. This season, Mandeville has remained an ever-present, on the pitch, for the Spireites. He has featured 23 times in League Two and six times in cup competitions. "I'm so happy to be here and it's a great club. I know we haven't got the result again today, but it is a club that's going places and it will turn around,” he said. Danny Webb gave his thoughts on Mandeville, saying: "He's a soldier and I think he's priceless, personally."
