There's a claim in the Turkish media that Everton have stepped up their pursuit for Galatasaray attacker Yunus Akgün.
The former Leicester City loanee has been linked with a move to the Toffees in the past week as the Premier League side look to strengthen in this transfer window.
Fanatic report on the latest developments regarding Everton's interest in the Turkey international and they say the Merseyside club have tabled an offer for the forward. They claim Everton want to loan him for the remainder of the season and then have a purchase option in the summer.
However, the English side will face obstacles in their attempts to sign Akgün, with reports of interest from other clubs, including Real Sociedad, and that Galatasaray are keen for him to remain in Istanbul.
It's claimed Galatasaray will not entertain selling the player at this stage of the season and will only evaluate offers in the summer. Cimbom are also hopeful they can convince Akgün over a contract extension following his impressive form this season.
Akgün has played 13 games for Galatasaray this season, scoring two goals. The player is contracted to Gala until June 2026
