A report has claimed that the Friedkin Group has now passed the Financial Conduct Authority and FA approval tests. [Liverpool Echo]

Jarrad Branthwaite had been called up to the seniors from the England Under-21s following injuries in interim boss Lee Carsley's original 26-man squad. However, it was announced on Wednesday night that the 22-year-old is not travelling to Greece for Thursday's game and will instead return to Everton. [England Football]

Sean Dyche has praised the form of Idrissa Gana Gueye, highlighting the experienced midfielder's ability to "set the tone" and quickly read the game both in out of possession:

"I thought Gana was really strong again. I'm really pleased. I think he set the tone – we got a nice clean sheet and his work [was important]. He's seeing the picture quickly with the ball, without the ball he snuffs out things and then he attacks and counters.
