Nottingham Forest won 2-0 at Brentford on Saturday to make it three wins in succession in the Premier League.

The goals came from Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga as Nuno Espirito Santo became the first manager to lead a visiting team to victory at the Gtech Community Stadium all season.

Elanga has been getting texts from Jermain Defoe and clearly, it’s working as he’s now scored twice in as many matches.

Forest went with a different approach for the trip to Brentford, with Brian Laws hailing the tweak made by Espirito Santo.

There were a host of top performers as Forest defeated Brentford and the Reds sit fourth in the Premier League right now.

Michael Dawson wowed by two Nottingham Forest players

For fans of a certain age, Dawson might be remembered as one of the best central defenders to ever play for Forest.

However, Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo will run him very close – if they’ve not already exceeded the brilliance he showcased at Forest.

The pair were joined in defence by Morato and Michael Dawson was extremely impressed with Milenkovic and Murillo for their efforts.

He said on Sky Sports: “Morato came in today with Murillo and Milenkovic who are absolutely unbelievable. But they know what they’re good at.

“Murillo can bring the ball out, he’s got a lovely left-foot, whereas Milenkovic is an old-fashioned centre-half as you would say now, he heads everything, he kicks everything, does he play it short, does he complicate stuff? No he doesn’t.”

Forest hit the jackpot with Milenkovic

Signing Murillo was a good signing but last season as good as he was, he still needed that experienced head alongside him.

Milenkovic checking in was a masterstroke in the summer and he’s been a wonderful addition to the Reds’ ranks.

For £12 million the Serbian captain has been a revelation and the Reds have improved considerably at both ends of the pitch under his influence.

Milenkovic scored in games against Manchester United and Aston Villa, with goals something that he can provide from set pieces.

At 27, Forest have signed a player at his peak and he will already be worth much more should the Reds ever consider selling him.

Milenkovic and Murillo have both contributed to the Forest rearguard becoming stronger and hopefully the pair can keep leading the Reds to more positive results as the season progresses.
