Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi makes Thomas Tuchel admission after being snubbed by England

Thomas Tuchel won’t have made too many friends with Nottingham Forest supporters as he gets his feet under the table as the new England head coach.
His treatment of Morgan Gibbs-White has been laughable at best.
Tuchel managed to royally do the dirty on Gibbs-White three times, omitting him from the squad, then leaving him out of the matchday squad before finally, leaving him an unused substitute against Latvia.
Amidst the angst towards Tuchel regarding Gibbs-White, it’s easy to forget that there are other Forest players in the squad who might already have an axe to grind with the new boss – most notably Callum Hudson-Odoi.

It’s easy to forget that Hudson-Odoi was famously criticised by Tuchel over his application and attitude when the pair were together at Chelsea.
Hudson-Odoi leaving Chelsea has enhanced his career, with Forest giving him the platform to kick on and rediscover himself by playing regular games.
Speaking on his England chances under Tuchel, Hudson-Odoi is relaxed and admits that he’d love to earn another crack on the international stage.
He told BBC Sport: “Like (when Tuchel had me) playing wing-back and I am like why am I here?
“But it was to benefit the team and it benefits myself, helping me work on my defensive game.
“It’s good that we had that moment and we have talked about it. He is an amazing manager and he knows how to get the best out of players.
“If the possibility and chance (for England) comes – I will have to go there and prove myself all over again.
“I just control what I can control. It’s about enjoying my football once again, smiling and being positive.”

The winger has really found his best form at Forest and, perhaps more crucially, after his time at Chelsea, he’s managed to stay fit.
Hudson-Odoi recently bagged the game’s only goal against reigning champions Manchester City and the joy was etched all over his face.

At 24-years-old, there is still so much potential to unearth in Hudson-Odoi and hopefully, a new contract will be forthcoming for him at Forest.
Forest landing Hudson-Odoi for just £3 million will forever go down as one of the greatest pieces of transfer business and more of the same will be required in the summer.
