Nottingham Forest are looking to maintain their fine run of form in the Premier League which has them sitting up in seventh spot.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have now had over a week to recover from their last game which came away to Leicester City.

Forest will be without James Ward-Prowse against West Ham as he will be ineligible to play against his parent side.

But he may not be the only player who Forest are missing with the Reds ending the game against Leicester with some injury issues to worry over.

Having had some time to recover from their game against the Foxes, Forest fans will be hoping to hear some positive injury news from their manager as he provided an update on Thursday.

Nuno Espirito Santo shares Nottingham Forest injury update

The Portuguese manager sat down with the media on Thursday afternoon ahead of the game against the Hammers where he shared the latest injury news.

“We have some issues still assessing still one day to go,” he said.

“It’s the same after a period of the season, and along some matches, hard ones, players get knocks and all these things, injuries, players coming back, we have to assess them tomorrow [Friday].

“He [Gibbs-White] is one of the one of the players inside that group that we have to assess and and see how he is. Also [Wood] and Elliot [Anderson] and Jota [Silva], people that have knocks.”

It is not just the potential injury issues which the Reds will be only concerned about with their striker as Chris Wood’s contract at Forest needing to be renewed.

Nottingham Forest predicted XI vs West Ham

Forest fans will be hoping to see some of the players mentioned by Nuno fit enough to return to the starting XI against the Irons.

Morgan Gibbs-White was spotted wearing a protective boot just a few weeks ago so his return would spark a big boost for the Reds.

However, Forest could well find themselves stretched in midfield with Ward-Prowse unable to play against his former side.

Danilo is working individually on his rehabilitation and Ibrahim Sangare remains a long-term injury absence at the City Ground.

Predicted Forest XI vs West Ham:Selz; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Anderson; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood.
