Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi appears to mock Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold on Instagram

Nottingham Forest were denied victory for the eighth successive time at the City Ground following a 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
This was a night for the ages and it lived up to the pre-match expectations. The roof came off the City Ground in the eighth minute when Anthony Elanga played in Chris Wood and the striker made it 13 for the campaign with a sweet finish.
Liverpool had to wait until the 66th minute to find a leveller. Just seconds after the pair were introduced from the bench Kostas Tsimikas found Diogo Jota who headed home after some good work from Cody Gakpo on the goalkeeper.
After the game, Arne Slot praised Forest stopper Matz Sels. He was in scintillating form between the posts and if anyone felt he was to blame for the goal, he more than redeemed himself with a string of stops.
It was a serious shift from a Forest perspective. Perhaps the disappointing factors will be that a couple of good chances went awry in the first half to extend the lead and that Forest had to settle for a point despite leading for so long.

The first half was certainly the better half for Forest. The two wingers got at the opposition with ease and it’s perhaps a shame that another goal wasn’t scored during that period.
Hudson-Odoi in particular was a man on a mission as the half wore on. He got at Alexander-Arnold frequently and had him tied in knots on a number of occasions in the opening 45 minutes.
So much so that an image of Hudson-Odoi leaving Alexander-Arnold in a heap on the floor has come to light. The player chose to post these pictures on his Instagram account as he appears to be mocking the England man.
Ola Aina has seemingly confirmed this as a subtle dig. He posted the word ‘Whoopsy’ with a laughing emoji on Hudson-Odoi’s post, with other players also using the flame emoji to sum up his performance.
Callum Hudson-Odoi stats vs Liverpool
Hudson-Odoi is very much one of the main attacking forces at Forest now. He’s enjoying an injury-free campaign for the first time since he came to the club and Nuno Espirito Santo clearly trusts him.
Hudson-Odoi cost Forest £3 million. With that in mind, it was always going to prove a risk-free signing but on current form, he might just be dreaming of linking up with his former Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, with England once again.

The 24-year-old is still improving as a footballer. He epitomises everything that Forest want to try and recruit when it comes to signing new players and in current form, he’s showcasing what a superb player he is.
Right now, it’s positive to see Hudson-Odoi simply out on the pitch and playing games on a frequent basis. The challenge is to register more goals and assists but with plenty of games left this season that will undoubtedly come.
