Nottingham Forest still have a number of players out injured at this moment in time, but it looks as if Danilo’s situation is improving.
Danilo suffered a significant ankle injury against Bournemouth and has been out ever since, after undergoing surgery to correct the injury sustained.
Nottingham Forest have managed just fine without him. The likes of Ryan Yates, Nicolas Dominguez and Elliot Anderson have been called upon and done fantastically well.
Nuno Espirito Santo will have quite the decision to make when Danilo does return, though at least there won’t be any pressure to rush him back.
Now, it appears as if Danilo is progressing well after the club released footage celebrating the awards won by Nuno Espirito Santo and Chris Wood.

Positive Danilo injury sign spotted at Nottingham Forest
Danilo was in a protective boot for large parts of his recovery but recently shared a video of him swimming boot free with Murillo watching.
The midfielder has been predicted to return around the New Year, but recent signs may suggest that it could be sooner.
Nottingham Forest posted footage of their recent training session ahead of the Newcastle clash, as well as footage of Nuno and Chris Wood receiving their Premier League awards.
You can see Danilo stood there speaking to Nuno (11.38), and the Nottingham Forest boss appears to be looking on in amazement at how the midfielder’s leg is looking.
He’s also wearing the same Nottingham Forest gear as all the fit members of the squad.
Danilo’s potential return will strengthen Nottingham Forest’s European bid even more
Danilo offers that something different to Yates and Dominguez in midfield.
He has that hunger and desire to get forward into attacking positions and create things for his side, almost like Elliot Anderson does for Forest.
The Brazilian showed bright early signs this season before his injury cut his time short.
It’s players like these who could really prove to be the difference in a long, grueling season where squad depth becomes even more important.
