Nottingham Forest are going great under Nuno Espirito Santo in the Premier League this season.

Right now, the team are looking ahead to an FA Cup date with Brighton, whilst sitting third in the Premier League table.

There have been a number of top performers during the 2024/25 campaign.

Chris Wood has been praised for his performances this season, whilst Gary Neville is seemingly a huge fan of Elliot Anderson.

Elsewhere, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Murillo, Nikola Milenkovic and Morgan Gibbs-White have also been excellent.

Now, with domestic action set to resume again, there is some more positive news from a Forest perspective ahead of the trip to Brighton.

Premier League announced Player of the Month nominees

Forest have won both of their Premier League game in March and subsequently, two players are up for Player of the Month.

Nikola Milenkovic is the first player up for the accolade, with the Serbian continuing to showcase his quality.

He was excellent in the game against Manchester City when Forest stood firm to keep a 12th clean sheet of the season, whilst he scored against Ipswich.

During that 4-2 win over the Tractor Boys, Anthony Elanga scored twice and he’s the second player up for the accolade.

The Swedish performer has grown since the New Year and has put behind him a pretty abject start to 2024/25 by his own high standards.

The Forest aces are up against Jean-Richer Bellegarde, Bruno Fernandes, Declan Rice and Jan Paul van Hecke.

The centre-back has been in fine form this season and at £12 million, Milenkovic looks like exceptional value for money.

It’s quite remarkable that in an era of overspending and inflation, Forest managed to pull off recruitment of this level last summer.

Milenkovic has played every Premier League game except for the first one and he’s been one of the main reasons for the team’s improvements this season.

It would probably take a lot for a central defender to win the award but with how he’s played in March, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise.
