Nottingham Forest and Champions League football is actually a possibility, and it could lead to some unimaginable signings.
There’s something about this season that feels eerily similar to Leicester City’s unexpected Premier League title triumph, only Liverpool are far superior this time round.
Although, as Arne Slot keeps saying, Nottingham Forest are the only team to have beaten the league leaders so far this season.
The January transfer window is here and Nuno Espirito Santo has the opportunity to strengthen, with a few additions being lined up at the City Ground.
Interestingly, it appears as if Forest have already got their eyes on a potential Champions League signing should they qualify, as Victor Osimhen is being linked.

Victor Osimhen has established himself as one of the best strikers in world football over the past couple of years, and he’s currently on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray.
He’s managed to score 12 goals and lay on five assists in his 15 appearances so far this season, showing that he can hack it in another league after dominating the Serie A.
Perhaps he’ll even get a chance to showcase his talents in the Premier League, as Nottingham Forest are now being linked with a move.
According to Area Napoli, Nottingham Forest have Victor Osimhen on a list of names to be looked at if Champions League football is secured.
However, it’s stated that Osimhen’s profile would be considered fascinating by the English club, although part of the management considers him too expensive from a financial point of view.
Is Victor Osimhen likely to join Nottingham Forest?
A move for Victor Osimhen at any point seems extremely unlikely.
The Nigerian striker is on huge wages and would cost an arm and a leg, which would completely break Nottingham Forest’s structure and current policy.
Of course, the Champions League brings plenty of money and could open the door for a superstar signing like Osimhen, but there are clearly already doubts for Evangelos Marinakis.
