Nottingham Forest were in fine form at the weekend as Brentford were put to the sword for the first time this season on home soil.

Nuno Espirito Santo was praised by Brian Laws for his tactical tweak that saw him go three at the back – with Morato coming in for a rare start.

Forest ran out 2-0 winners in West London with Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga bagging the goals for Espirito Santo’s team.

Elanga has been texting Jermain Defoe for advice and clearly it’s working as he’s now scored twice in as many matches for the Reds.

It’s perhaps Aina’s form that has been a hot topic of conversation and he’s a player in truly brilliant form at the moment.

Ola Aina reacts on Instagram after Forest goal

Aina scored his second of the season and third for Forest with a well-taken effort against Brentford at the weekend.

His celebration was on offer where he appears to act as though he’s mixing up something in a bowl – a nod towards cooking up something special.

He posted a two-word message that just said: “Spiritual cookings.”

Aina has been an amazing signing for Forest since joining from Torino on a free and he’s really proved himself as a top player.

Tomori, Lookman and Hudson-Odoi rave about Aina

Aina will know Tomori from his days coming through the youth ranks at Chelsea and he was the first to post a message to the Forest man at the weekend.

He simply posted: “Mr Lulluuuuu”, in a nod towards the player’s nickname.

Lookman scored a hat-trick in the final of the Europa League for Atalanta at the end of last season and he posted the two words: “Top player.”

Finally, Hudson-Odoi didn’t want to miss out on praising his teammate and he posted: “Yeah, you’re different.”

Forest are trying to get Aina tied down to a new contract in the coming weeks and after this latest showing, surely things have to be getting closer to completion.

The Reds can’t become that club that lets their top players leave on a free transfer and it’s imperative that Aina is kept around.
