Archie Gray's arrival at Tottenham Hotspur in recent days has seriously added to the excitement about the young project Ange Postecoglou is building.

The likes of Destiny Udogie, Mikey van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr all enjoyed excellent first seasons in north London under Postecoglou.

And when you consider that Gray will also be joined by Lucas Bergvall in N17, there's a lot of reason to be excited.

The club's under-21s also won the Premier League 2 for the first time last season, demonstrating the rich talent in the academy too.

Mikey Moore is still regarded as the shining light in that regard by many, a player who is expected to play some sort of senior role this season.

And if there's any manager who should be trusted to bring all of this rich talent together successfully in the future then it is Postecoglou.

That being said, Spurs may not stop there when it comes to building for the future, and TBR Football recently shared that Tottenham are interested in signing Stade Rennais' Desire Doue.

Spurs are said to be seriously considering a move for the £35m-rated 19-year-old who has been making waves in Ligue 1.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich have also been credited with interest in Doue too, who has been compared to a young Wayne Rooney.

Doue is typically a left-winger, but can also thrive in central areas too, possessing a robust physique – hence the Rooney links.

That being said, it now seems as if Doue is keeping a close eye on Tottenham's exciting project, perhaps indicating his interest in a summer move.

That may be getting slightly carried away, but Doue is clearly keeping up to date with the club's business, and liked an Instagram post by Rising Ballers regarding Gray's arrival.

The post mentioned that Gray had completed his medical, signed his contract and mentioned that it was a 'huge signing for Spurs'.

Doue liked the post from his official account, leading to speculation that he now wants to follow Gray to north London.

That being said, it won't be easy to sign Doue given the strong competition for his signature this summer.

But there can't be too many better suited projects for the young Frenchman right now, and Tottenham seem well positioned to prove so.
