'Amazing': Brennan Johnson says £22m Tottenham player is so good to watch up close

Tottenham aren't doing brilliantly in the Premier League at the moment, but Spurs do still have some very talented players.
Indeed, this Tottenham side is packed full of talent, and perhaps the most accomplished player in the entire team is Heung-Min Son.
The South Korean is a member of the Premier League 100 club, and he's a Golden Boot winner.
Speaking to the BBC, Brennan Johnson has been discussing some of the players he has looked up to over the years, and he says that he's always been a fan of Son.
Johnson says that he would always watch Son before he joined Tottenham, and now that he's a Spurs player he's blown away when he watches him up close.

Brennan Johnson idolises Heung-Min Son
Johnson spoke about Son and how good he is to watch in training.
According to the winger, it's remarkable to see Son up close, especially because he's so two-footed.
"Who are your idols would you say?
"I used to play in midfield, so I'd watch old videos of Kaka and Zidane, those players. Before I came to Spurs I used to watch Sonny. Whenever Tottenham played I watched him. Even now I find it amazing how two-footed he is and watching that first-hand is amazing.
"I think he probably knows, the way I ask him questions and reach out to him. I think he understands that I respect him highly as a player."
Which foot does Heung-Min Son prefer?
Johnson says that Son is incredibly two-footed and he's not wrong.
Son is naturally right-footed, but he's one of the most ambipedal players in world football.
Owen Hargreaves says Son has the best weak foot in the world, while Michael Owen has remarked on Son's incredible record with both feet.
The stats show that the £22m man really doesn't have much of a strong preference in terms of which foot he shoots with.
Heung-Min Son stats | |
Premier League goals | 123 |
Goals with right foot | 71 |
Goals with left foot | 48 |
Headers scored | 4 |
Son does score more goals with his right foot, but that is also a product of the fact he plays on the left wing, so he's bound to cut inside on his right more.
Son does also take penalties and free kicks with his right foot, so that is his preferred side, but, as the stats show, he's not averse to using either foot to put the ball into the back of the net.
