Arsenal are considering a move for Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson in the January transfer window, according to reports.
It is thought that the Gunners are keen to bring in a new wide attacker and forward with Ferguson now added to the list of their potential targets.
Manchester United were previously linked with a move for the Brighton star, who has scored one goal across 12 Premier League games this term.
The 20-year-old, who has struggled with an ankle injury this season, has seen his minutes limited with Danny Welbeck and Joao Pedro shining.
Arsenal are hoping to take advantage of the situation and land Ferguson in January, talkSPORT have reported.
The Gunners are not the only Premier League side aiming to sign Ferguson, though, with Fulham and West Ham also interested in a possible deal.
The Seagulls are currently inclined to insist on an permanent obligation clause if they decide to let Ferguson depart on loan in January.
Other strikers Arsenal are considering include RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo and Wolves' Matheus Cunha.
Newcastle United superstar Alexander Isak is Arsenal's No.1 choice and Paul Merson has urged his old club to ‘break the bank’ to sign the Swede.
'If I was Arsenal and I had the money I would go out and buy Isak, I'd break the bank for him,' the ex-Arsenal and England midfielder said.
'I think he's the best of the best and he takes Arsenal to another level.
'Hopefully, if Gabriel Jesus can keep doing what he's doing, they won't have to [sign anyone], but I'm looking at the all-round picture and I'm looking at next season as well.
'I think if they can get hold of Isak, who I think is the best in the business at the moment, I think that would be a massive coup for Arsenal. Sorry, Newcastle fans!'
