Arsenal fans savage Gabriel Martinelli after what he did vs Ipswich Town

Gabriel Martinelli left many Arsenal fans frustrated with his performance in their team’s 1-0 Premier League win against Ipswich Town.
The 2024/25 season has been a tough one for the Brazilian, who came into that clash with the Tractor Boys on Friday (27 December) having scored just four goals in 15 Premier League appearances.
The 23-year-old was also thrust into a relatively new role for Mikel Arteta’s side in the match, as the Gunners looked to keep pace with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea in the title race.
In the eyes of many Arsenal fans though, that switch did not prove enough to bring an improvement out of Martinelli even from the early stages of the game.
Arsenal fans disappointed as Gabriel Martinelli steps in for Bukayo Saka
Following his injury in their win over Crystal Palace last time out, this match saw Arteta’s side begin an extended period where they will be unable to call upon the talismanic Bukayo Saka.
In his absence, it was Martinelli who moved across from his more natural role on the left to step into the England international’s role on the right for Arsenal.
However, it was not a move that went all that well, as despite the Gunners’ dominance, the Brazilian – with the exception of a rare cross into the box – struggled to pose much of a threat to the Ipswich defence.
Indeed, he did find it hard to get past opposition full-back Leif Davis when on the ball, which left many Arsenal fans disappointed as they took to social media to give their thoughts on Martinelli’s performance.
In other news, a Liverpool player took to social media to respond to Arsenal fans after Saka's injury.
