Arsenal star reacts to Murillo message after Nottingham Forest hold Liverpool

Nottingham Forest’s Murillo received a response from an Arsenal star after his performance in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
It is those three clubs who currently occupy the top three spots in the Premier League table, with Arne Slot’s side leading the other two by six points as things stand.
The Anfield club did however need a somewhat controversial equaliser to come from behind and earn a point against Forest at The City Ground on Tuesday (14 January).
Murillo produced an impressive performance in that game, and despite his side’s current competition for league placing with Arsenal, Gabriel Magahaes has been quick to praise his fellow Brazilian.

The Nottingham Forest defender was heavily involved throughout the course of that match, including in one incident that did not go down well with Slot.
In the wake of the match, Murillo posted a series of pictures from the game on his Instagram page, with the emphatic caption: “This is FOREST!!”
Among those to respond to that was his fellow Brazilian and current Arsenal defender Gabriel, who liked that post and commented a tribute in the pair’s native language, along with a flames emoji.

It is remarkable that Nottingham Forest are even in this position given how they have battled relegation in the last couple of seasons.
Even so, it is clear with the form they are in and quality they are producing even in these big games that they can be a genuine threat to the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.
Murillo has been key to that, and it will be interesting to see if this success is enough for them to keep him when he inevitably starts to attract attention from the so-called bigger clubs.
