Arsenal 'will sign Alexander Isak & win Premier League'

Alexander Isak will win Arsenal the Premier League if he completes a move to the Gunners, Troy Deeney has said.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been heavily linked with the striker in recent times, as he continues his excellent form for Newcastle.
Following his hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Ipswich last Saturday (21 December), the Swede followed that up another goal in the Magpies’ 3-0 win at home to Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
That means it is now 11 goals in 16 league appearances for the 25-year-old this season, and Deeney now believes he is the missing link for Arsenal as they look to end their wait for a Premier League title.
Writing about Isak in his latest Team of the Week column for BBC Sport, the former Watford and Birmingham striker said: “Back again, the man, the myth, Mr Isak. He’s the best striker in the Premier League currently. Arsenal, just sign him and you’ll win the league, it’s really not that difficult.”

Many supporters and observers of the Gunners will surely say they have lacked the regular goalscorer they need at centre-forward to win them the Premier League title in the past few seasons.
With the talismanic Bukayo Saka now facing a long spell out due to injury, that need for attacking firepower from elsewhere has surely only increased for Arsenal.
Isak has shown consistently now that he can get the sort of goals the Gunners have been lacking from a striker at this level, which has left them trailing others at the top of the table.
Bringing him to the Emirates could therefore change the complexion for Arteta’s side as they look to turn that trend on its head.
It has also been suggested that Newcastle may be forced to sell Isak as a result of their PSR issues, so there may be an opening for Arsenal to make this deal happen as well.
Those in charge at the North London club should therefore surely be keeping a close eye on the striker’s situation to see if they can bring him in anytime soon.
