The newspaper states that Aston Villa have 'shown a firm intention' to sign the right-back, stepping ahead of Sporting Club de Portugal for him.
Reports throughout today have made it clear Aston Villa have suddenly moved for García as they look to add to their squad this month.
They had caused a radical turn o events as the player seemed destined to join Sporting this month. Instead, according to Super Deporte, he will be joining Unai Emery's squad instead.
They want the defender and are considering paying his €12m release clause. Negotiations between them and Levante are now very advanced. In fact, they will be finalised in the next few hours.
García has not trained today because of the advancing negotiations. That was because of the pending agreement with Sporting.
Now it is Aston Villa pushing to sign him this month and add him to their squad as soon as possible.
