Liverpool fans have reacted to the latest update from manager Arne Slot on their saviour in midweek Diogo Jota, with a permanent exit tipped.
The Portugal international played a key role in helping his side secure an important in their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night (14 January).
Having come off the bench in the 66th minute at the City Ground, Jota immediately linked up fellow substitute Kostas Tsimikas to head home the equaliser that earned the Reds a point.
In the wake of that however, the latest update on the striker has not gone down at all well with Liverpool supporters.

Next up for Slot’s side is a trip to Brentford on Saturday afternoon (18 January). That will be a tricky fixture with the Bees in good home form this season, fighting back to draw 2-2 with Man City in midweek.
It now seems as though Liverpool may have to cope without Jota for that clash with Thomas Frank’s side at the G-Tech Community Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, Slot revealed that Jota is a doubt for the match, and will need to be assessed to decide if he can feature (via club social media).
Reacting to that update on X, many supporters were unimpressed to see the striker suffer yet another setback, with many feeling that ought to force the club to sell the 28-year-old.
Others meanwhile were adamant Liverpool will have to add to their striking options in this month’s transfer window given Jota’s injury issues and Darwin Nunez’s struggle for form.
