Inter Milan are 'keeping an eye' on Liverpool's Joe Gomez, according to InterLive.it.

Francesco Acerbi, 36, and Stefan de Vrij, 32, are among the centre-backs at the San Siro. They have deals expiring at the end of this season.

The Serie A side have started planning to replace them and identified a few targets. The Liverpool player is included in this list.

Gomez has been limited to 11 minutes this season and those came in the Reds' Champions League win over AC Milan.

Arne Slot has preferred Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté and Jarell Quansah [started against Ipswich Town] this season. The England international's deal lasts until 2027 but he could leave Anfield next summer, if his situation doesn’t improve.

Inter are closely following his situation and can 'sink the blow' to sign him. The report adds his valuation has dropped from €42m to €20m, which makes the 27-year-old a bargain for the Italian champions.

Gomez has several years ahead of him at the highest level. The website insists if Inter or any other club were to buy Gomez, they could 'make a fortune' by selling him in the future.

Inter, or at least the media close to them, are being overly optimistic regarding the possibility of signing the Liverpool man for €20m.
