Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell has taken to social media to send a message to former teammate Mason Mount after Enzo Maresca reiterated the club are looking to sell him.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup with Morecambe, Maresca once again confirmed the 28-year-old had no future at the club.
The Italian said: "Chilwell is thinking he's going to leave, it's better to avoid using him to avoid injury. "Cesare will not be in the squad, same situation as Chilwell. It's best in this moment not to allow him to play in case there's opportunity for him to leave."
Chillwell was a member of Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ during the summer, alongside Raheem Sterling and Carney Chukwuemeka, but ultimately failed to secure a move.

Chilwell and Mount, 26, spent two spent three seasons together at Chelsea, winning the Champions League under now-England manager Thomas Tuchel back in 2020-21.
The England international has featured just once for Chelsea this season, coming off the bench at half-time in their 5-0 League Cup win over Barrow.
Reminiscing about better days at the club, Chilwell took to Instagram to share an image of himself and Mount, alongside Reece James, sitting on the turf after their Champions League win to wish his friend and former teammate a happy birthday, saying: “Happy birthday to a real brother.”
Mount move to Man United back in 2023 hasn’t worked out, with the attacking midfielder playing just 33 games and scoring one goal since the move due to various injury issues.
The attacking midfielder finds himself on the sidelines once again after picking up a muscle injury in their 2-1 win over Man City.
