Leeds forward Wilfried Gnonto is a target for multiple Saudi Arabian clubs this month, sources have told Football Insider.
The winger, 21, signed a new Leeds contract last August that secures his future at Elland Road until the end of the 2027/28 season.
But there is “concrete interest” in Gnonto, sources say, from the cash-rich Saudi Pro League.
Leeds do not want to sell the Italy international this month as they push for automatic promotion from the Championship back to the Premier League.
Leeds United stance over potential Wilfried Gnonto exit revealed
Daniel Farke’s side missed out on an immediate promotion back to the top-flight of English football last season after defeat to Southampton in the play-off final.
They now sit top of the current Championship standings, one point clear of the play-off places after 26 games of the regular season.
Gnonto joined Leeds back in the summer of 2022 from FC Zurich for a fee of £3.8million (Daily Mail).
The winger has since scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists in 98 appearances in all competitions for the club, including four goals and five assists in 26 games during the current campaign (Transfermarkt).
He has also won 13 times at senior international level by Italy, and previously attracted interest from Premier League side Everton in the summer transfer window.
His side are next in action on Saturday evening (11 January) when they host League Two outfit Harrogate Town at Elland Road in the third round of the FA Cup.
In other news, Leeds are working to sign a new goalkeeper in the January transfer window.
