Since he arrived at Arsenal, Kai Havertz has gone on an extraordinary journey under Mikel Arteta's stewardship.

Havertz was already an accomplished talent before joining Arsenal, he'd won a Champions League final for Chelsea.

But the German was an inconsistent figure at Stamford Bridge, a player who was often substituted and played in several positions without any real conviction.

There was a perception that Havertz was something of a lightweight luxury player, a technical forward who drifted in and out of games.

At Arsenal, that could be further from the truth, Havertz is a duel monster, someone Arteta would probably even trust as a number six were his hand forced.

Havertz isn't even what you'd typically call a 'false nine' anymore, he's an all-action forward who can score, hold up the ball and arrive in the box at the right time.

Clarence Seedorf loves the way Kai Havertz times his runs at Arsenal

That being said, speaking after Arsenal's 2-0 win against Paris Saint-Germain for Amazon Prime, Clarence Seedorf hailed Havertz as 'amazing', saying he was up there with some of the best strikers he played with.

Havertz has been praised a lot over the past 12 months or so, but it means a lot coming from Seedorf who played with some of the best number nines in world football.

Speaking at full-time on Tuesday evening, Seedorf said: "He is amazing. I think that his quality is to know where to be at the right time. And that counts for even the big number nines I played with.

"They are never static in front. They would just find the position, make the defenders fall asleep a little bit and then all of a sudden, they present themselves. I think that’s a big quality he has."

Jurrien Timber injured against PSG

Of course, it wasn’t just Havertz who impressed against PSG, Jurrien Timber also proved just how important he'll continue to be this season in his first half minutes.

Saliba was blown away by Timber after the 2-0 win, one of many who will be keeping his fingers crossed that the Dutchman's issue was nothing serious.

Arteta declared that Timber was taken off as something of a precautionary measure after feeling a slight muscle issue.

And with the international break on the horizon, perhaps it would be best for Timber to miss Arsenal's tie with Southampton this weekend before resting over the next week or so.

Arteta is blessed with options right now, but any fresh injuries could still prove very problematic.
