Silas Bjerre joined Portuguese side Torreense in the summer and while he isn’t playing for the club’s first-team, he has become a key part of their Under-23s side.
He is one of the mainstays of the team, which is at the top of the Under-23s table in Portugal.
The goalkeeper is yet to play even once for the first team, but he is already attracting attention from England.
TipsBladet have reported that Brentford are monitoring the 19-year-old, who is slowly establishing himself in the game in Portugal with his showings at youth level.
Brentford have sent scouts to watch the youngster play, even if it is pointed out that the Bees could have been keeping an eye on multiple players too.
The outlet will not be surprised if the club’s target during the scouting mission was mainly Bjerre, who has only been on the bench for the Torreense first-team earlier in the campaign.
He’s winning some fans, and Brentford likely want to see if it’s a situation worth pursuing.
