Alexander Isak stole the show for Newcastle United once again in their 4-0 victory against Ipswich Town with a stunning hat-trick.

Alexander Isak opening the scoring with a well-taken half-volley against Kieran McKenna’s side.

Jacob Murphy perhaps scored the best goal of the game with a thumping strike that initially crashed the crossbar.

The Swedish striker joined the party for Newcastle once again after Bruno Guimaraes’ relentless pressing was rewarded with the in-form goalscorer sitting Arijanet Muric down by hesitating for a moment before slotting the ball past him.

The former Real Sociedad number nine wrote his name on the scoresheet once again by miraculously finding the back of the net from inside the box after he seemingly had little to no space with an improvised finish.

Newcastle’s Alexander Isak named “world-class” after hat-trick against Ipswich Town

The 25-year-old captioned his Instagram post: “Merry Christmas!”

Bruno Guimaraes commented on his post, writing: “World-class.”

Joe Willock simply stated: “Ridiculous baller.”

Callum Wilson commented ‘raised hands’, ‘fire’ and ‘sparkle’ emojis.

Matt Targett left three fire emojis on Isak’s post.

Jacob Murphy commented a ‘giraffe’ and a ‘fire’ emoji as well.

All in all, the in-form marksman would have been delighted by the support he received from the Newcastle players.

Ruud van Nistelrooy praised Isak recently, which indicates how highly rated he is.

Paul Merson urged Arsenal to sign Isak despite Gabriel Jesus’ hat-trick against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup, which goes to show how high his standing is amongst the best strikers in the Premier League.

Alexander Isak explains why he was “screaming” at Jacob Murphy

Isak admitted he was “screaming” at Jacob Murphy before the Englishman assisted him with a wonderful backheeled pass.

The Magpies talisman said after the game: “He obviously didn't see me but I was screaming behind him, I was screaming a lot so he could probably hear that I was behind him.”

“But yeah, it was a beautiful assist and [I am] happy to score that one so that he could get that assist as well.”

Isak went on to laud Murphy’s brilliant form as well, saying: “We know he's a high-quality player, I haven't seen him do a backheel assist yet but he’s very versatile in this game.”

“I’m not too shocked but it was good to see.”

Newcastle supporters would love to have heard Isak’s anecdote as it signals how hungry he is to score goals, as indicated by his desire to do so despite scoring a brace before bagging his third of the day.
