Bukayo Saka responds to Van Dijk's message as Liverpool-Arsenal rivalry intensifies

Bukayo Saka has reacted after Liverpool ace Virgil van Dijk posted a picture on social media with tennis legend Rafael Nadal.
Van Dijk has plenty going on at the minute, as he captains Arne Slot’s side in their pursuit of multiple trophies this season, while his future is also the subject of plenty of speculation with his contract at Anfield due to expire in the summer.
Despite that the Liverpool captain has been catching up with plenty of other sports stars recently, sending a message Cycling icon Mark Cavendish at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards.
He has now followed that up by posting a picture on Instagram of him alongside 22-time Grand Slam Nadal, captioned with a loveheart emoji.
Among those who the post got the attention of was Saka, with the Arsenal star liking the post.

It does feel rather interesting to note that Saka is liking this post from Van Dijk in these particular circumstances.
Liverpool and Arsenal are of course among the standout contenders for silverware in England at this moment in time, and have been for long periods dating back many years.
As a result a rivalry has emerged between the clubs, that could increase further if they continue to go head to head for the big honours thanks to the struggles of Man City.
However that appears not to have impacted these two players for the time being, with Saka liking this post suggesting the two are on rather good terms.
Given how much fans of Liverpool and Arsenal are going to want to get one over on each other, you do wonder what they might make of such interactions.
It will also be intriguing to see how the duo might respond to each other when they meet on the pitch, which could potentially come in a Carabao Cup final in the not too distant future.
