West Ham midfielder Carlos Soler has taken to social media to send a message to after Graham Potter’s men beat Fulham 3-2.
The Spaniard had a hugely impactful 72 minutes on the pitch for the Irons after scoring his first goal for the club to give them the lead against the Whites (14 January).
The game marked the first Premier League match with Potter at the helm for West Ham, and life under the Englishman finally got under way.
The former Paris Saint-Germain man’s strike, came off the back of an awful pass by Andreas Pereira, which the Spaniard latched on to, curling his effort past the hapless Bernd Leno.
Tomas Soucek then put the team from East London up 2-0, only two minutes later in the 33rd minute, smashing home from an Aaron Wan-Bissaka cross.
Alex Iwobi pulled one back for the Whites as Raul Jimenez failed to make contact with his cross, which was enough to distract Lukas Fabianski as the attempted pass found the back of the net.
However, defensive mistakes cost Fulham once again as Leno dithered on the ball, allowing Danny Ings to nip it off his toes to set up Lucas Paqueta for an easy tap-in,
Astonishingly, Fulham once again scored from an Iwobi cross that went unclaimed and found the back of the net.

However, it came as no great surprise to see new boss, Potter, use the Spaniard in his first game in charge.
Despite a shaky start to life at the London Stadium, Soler’s quality has never been in doubt, and the addition of an end-product to the former Valencia man’s game will be a major boost to the Hammers.
Soler posted a message to the fans on Instagram, saying: “First goal as a Hammer! Unforgettable Night! Thank you all for your support!”
Following Potter’s appointment, and his subsequent debut victory, West Ham look likely to get active in the January transfer window and they are now linked to Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell.
Despite West Ham’s victory, the game was once again overshadowed by VAR, Keith Hackett exclusively gave Football Insider his verdict on the troubling technology.
In other news, Jarrod Bowen’s return to the pitch may be close as he shared this message.
