Chelsea and Arsenal stars react to Matheus Cunha post at Wolves

Matheus Cunha has taken to social media to celebrate Wolves’ 3-0 victory over Leicester City, a match in which he scored a goal for himself.
The Brazilian international found the back of the net in Vitor Pereira's debut game as Wolves’ manager at the Molineux Stadium, against their relegation rivals.
Cunha recently faced an FA charge following an altercation with an Ipswich staff member during Wolves’ defeat last week.
While the forward had until Thursday (19 December) to respond, the FA are still gathering evidence before determining any potential suspension.
This allowed Cunha to feature in the match, and he celebrated his goal with an Instagram post, captioned: "Keep giving you points in FPL [Fantasy Premier League] teams".
Teammate André sent his support with the comment "My 10" (translated from Portuguese), while Rodrigo Gomes and Yerson Mosquera joined in with emojis of encouragement. Former teammate Diego Costa also shared fire emojis in recognition of his performance.
Chelsea's Pedro Neto and Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhães were among those who liked the post.
Wolves will miss Matheus Cunha as an inevitable ban looms
Gary O'Neil’s dismissal was anticipated for weeks, with the club reportedly delaying the decision due to a lack of suitable replacements. Pereira's strong start in his debut match offers a glimmer of hope for supporters.
However, they will soon face the absence of Cunha. Pundits predict a significant ban for the striker following his altercation at full-time last week.
O'Neil had lost the dressing room long before his sacking, with incidents of conflict becoming all too common. Mario Lemina's altercation after the West Ham match, which led to him being stripped of the captaincy, is a prime example.
Cunha's absence will be deeply felt. The forward has been their standout performer this season, contributing nine goals and three assists, proving to be the team's most consistent attacking threat.
Despite ongoing concerns over profit and sustainability rule compliance, the hierarchy seems prepared to back Pereira with new signings.
Whether those decisions are made internally or heavily influenced by super-agent Jorge Mendes, the club will need reinforcements to boost their battle against relegation.
In other news, a former Premier League manager reportedly turned down Wolves manager job.
