“Pain doesn’t exist in this Dojo,” well, no one will forget this adrenaline-pumping quote from Sensei John alias John Lawrence in the Cobra Kai series. It’s been 6 years since the launch of the Cobra Kai series which is a sequel to the Karate Kid film. What do the characters from the series do? Let’s reminisce about our good old Karate Kid characters and their present lives after the release of Cobra Kai.

Cobra Kai Cast Now in 2024

Ralph Macchio 

Who other than the hero of Cobra Kai to start with? Ralph was just 22 when he portrayed the role of Daniel LaRusso in The Karate Kid. His character won universal critical acclaim, and then he went on to star in successful films, including "My Cousin Vinny and Crossroads". At 57, Ralph made another sensational comeback through the Cobra Kai television series where he reprised his original role as a Karate student.

Ralph is 63. The actor was recently seen in season 6 of Cobra Kai, and he is again cast as the main lead of Karate Kid (2025). After 60, film career has not been that great for the actor, but he’s enjoying a peaceful life with his wife, Phyllis Fierro, and children.

William Zabka

It’s time to speak about William Zabka, the menacing antagonist from ‘The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai' franchise. William was just 18 when he portrayed the role of Johnny Lawrence in the original Karate Kid film. At 52, he portrayed the same role in Cobra Kai and the actor’s grace and charm remained the same throughout all episodes.

The funny part about William is the star had only learned Wrestling before mastering Karate for the film. 

Not many find their true love before their 30s and William started dating Stacie in the early 2000s before marrying her in 2008.

Courtney Henggeler

Now, it’s time to speak about the ever-gorgeous and glamorous Courtney, who played Amanda LaRusso in Cobra Kai when she was 40. Courtney rose to fame at 23 through the film “The Bog Creatures”. Boys fell in love with Courtney’s smile and she had a huge fan base during her initial days in the industry.

Well, life can be harsh at times. Her career has been looking bleak and the actress has been appearing in supporting roles over the past decade. Courtney’s biggest strength is her husband, Ross Kohn, whom she married in 2015.

At 45, Courteney Henggeler looks optimistic about her future. She keeps herself busy with skincare and other stuff. Courtney's kids have been her happiness during her dark phase.

Martin Kove

Well, it will be unfair if we don’t speak about the antagonist and founder of the Cobra Kai gang. Martin Kove gave his all-time best performance as Sensei John Kreese in the Karate Kid film at 38 years. Some of Martin’s best roles are in The Four Deuces, Glass Trap, and Cagney & Lacey.

Martin’s stunning performance in Karate Kid films never helped him as the actor only played second-fiddle roles in most films. At present, Martin Kove is 78, and he continues to act in TV shows and films.

Did you know? Martin Kove has twins, and one of his sons played a small role in Cobra Kai seasons 3 and 4 where the younger version of John Kreese gets bullied by the twin. Martin is not only a Karate student in the film as the star is a renowned Martial Artist in real life with a Black Belt under his name.

Ramario Xolo Ramirez

Now let's talk about the dashing and handsome youngster, Xolo Ramirez. Xolo’s successful modeling career got him an important role in Cobra Kai when the actor was just 17. His portrayal as "Miguel Diaz" was applauded by the critics. His other prominent role comes from the film Blue Beetle. Xolo prioritizes scripts and he doesn’t go behind big names.

Xolo Ramirez is just 23 and the actor continues to act in TV series and films.  Xolo’s relationship is open and public.

This might be a heartbreak for girls who have a crush on Xolo. While filming for Cobra Kai, the actor started dating fellow co-star, Hannah Kepple, and the couple shared a good bond. 

Tanner Buchanan

Let’s proceed to speak about Tanner Buchanan. Tanner was born in Lima, Ohio, US (Dec 8, 1998). At 15, he started acting in short films and TV series before getting to fame through important roles in Designated Survivor, Cobra Kai, and The Hyperions. Tanner also played an important role in the film "How to Date Billy Walsh".

Tanner is just 25 and his portrayal as the flamboyant karate student, Robby Keene, in Cobra Kai will get him promising roles. Tanner’s love life is not a secret, as the actor has been dating the American actress Elizabeth Broadway for the past 7 years. He has also dated Mary Mouser for a year and the couple separated for unknown reasons.

Mary Mouser

Now, it’s time to speak about the dazzling Mary Mouser, who won the hearts of boys through her roles in Life Is Wild, Body of Proof, and Cobra Kai. Mary Mouser captured the hearts of boys after her portrayal as Samantha LaRusso in Cobra Kai when she was 22.

Mary Mouser is unable to replicate her success in the following films and series after Cobra Kai. She’s just 26 and there’s a long way to go. 

 Mary has overcome diabetes since her teenage and she’s constantly spoken about this on YouTube interviews. The actress was involved in a secret relationship with Tanner Buchanan and the couple have never divulged it officially.

Dallas Dupree Young

Up next, we have the brave and suave, Dallas Dupree Young. Dallas will always be remembered for his role as Kenny Payne who fought with resilience. The actor grabbed everyone’s attention in Cobra Kai and The Fosters. Dallas was just 12 when he starred in The Cobra Kai series. The youngster is just 18 and has a promising line-up. The love life of Dallas Dupree remains a secret till date.

Vanessa Rubio 

Who can forget the curly-haired woman from the Cobra Kai series? Vanessa Rubio played an important role in the Cobra Kai series as Carmen Diaz, the mother of Miguel Diaz and girlfriend of the Badass Johnny. Vanessa’s career started at 35 and she has not been able to grab multiple projects. “Blood Bound” and “Master of None” are her last known roles. 

Do you know? Vanessa is one of the first-generation Colombian families. To pursue a career in acting, Vanessa and her parents landed in New Jersey.

 There’s no history of the glamorous actress’ love life. As per rumors, Vanessa Rubio is dating a businessman. The actress keeps herself busy in the gym and social media.

Joe Seo

Finally, let’s move on to speak about the high school boy from the Cobra Kai series. Joe Seo played one of many supporting artists in the show and hailed from a wealthy family. Joe’s only best work comes from the Martial Arts series and the actor has starred in short films as well.

Joe Seo starred in “Message from the King” and “Spa Night” and has won a special jury award for his portrayal of David Cho in the Spa Night. Joe is 34 currently and has been involved in a couple of tv shows.

There’s always been a controversy over Joe’s age. "While some say he’s just 25 and reports say he’s 34". Some critics claim Joe Seo fools everyone about his age, to which the actor sarcastically replies, “Yes, I’m Just 25”. The relationship of Joe Seo is single although the actor has been involved in multiple relationships.
