Chelsea star Cole Palmer has taken to social media to poke some fun at teammate Tosin Adarabioyo after their 5-0 FA Cup win over Morecambe on Saturday (January 11).
The 27-year-old, took over goal-scoring duties from the Palmer, 22, as Enzo Maresca’s progressed to the fourth round against the League Two side.
Forward Christopher Nkunku had the opportunity to open the scoring from the penalty spot but was unable to beat Harry Burgoyne in the Morecambe goal.
Adarabioyo scored the first of his two goals in the 40th minute thanks to a long-range effort that took a heavy deflection off an opposition defender.
Nkunku was in the right place at the right time to make up for his penalty miss just after the break, latching on to Burgoyne’s parry to double Chelsea’s lead.
Shortly after Adarabioyo secured his brace, failing to resist the urge to shoot from the fans and scoring yet another long-range effort.
Joao Felix then got in on the action, scoring two goals in just two minutes. The first was a low drive into the bottom left corner, and the second was a curling effort into the top right.

Palmer may not have made it off the bench against Morecambe, but he remains a key player for Chelsea, starting 20 of his 22 games across all competitions, scoring 13 goals, and providing six assists in his 1800 minutes of action.
Adarabioyo has been thrust into the forefront after Wesley Fofana’s recent injury setback, starting 14 of his 16 games across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing zero assists in his 1343 minutes on the field.
Palmer took to Instagram after the comprehensive win over Morecambe, to share an image of Adarabioyo holding his Player of the Match award, captioning it with what appears to be a dressing room joke, saying: “Abdul” followed by a clapping hand and laughing emoji.
Chelsea have three games remaining in January alone, including a crucial Premier League tie with a seemingly resurgent Man City side.
Attention will turn to Bournemouth on Tuesday (January 14) as they seek to end a four-game league winless streak.
