Conor Coady has taken to social media to post a joke about his Leicester City teammate Jamie Vardy.

Vardy, who is out of contract at Leicester in the summer [Sky Sports], is now in his 13th season with the club.

The 38-year-old is now back in the top flight after a season in the Championship with the Foxes, and has been in good form, despite his team’s struggles, scoring six goals in 18 games in the league.

Vardy capped his birthday off by scoring a penalty in a 6-2 dismantling of QPR in the FA Cup (11 January).

Vardy has always had a reputation as being unconventional, having come all the way through non-league. before being signed for Leicester and being promoted with them.

Having survived by the skin of their teeth in the 2014/15 season, the Foxes would then go on win the most improbably title in Premier League history, with Vardy as their talisman during that famous season.

Teammate Coady took to Instagram to post a birthday message to Vardy that said: “Extra Red Bull for the main man tonight on his birthday 🦊.”

Despite their win against QPR, Leicester seem in real trouble in the league this season, Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider he was surprised to hear the club were confident in their PSR situation.

The Foxes are in desperate need of adding some quality to their side as they fight against relegation, and they could look to re-sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea.

In other news, Leicester may have found a new striker to support Vardy.
