Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has seemingly aimed a sly dig at the press in his most recent social media post.
The 24-year-old played a key role for Liverpool as they secured progression to the Champions League knock-out rounds with a 2-1 win over Lille on Tuesday (January 21).
Jones set talismanic forward Mohamed Salah up for the opener with an inch-perfect through ball, sending him one-on-one with the Lille goalkeeper.
During the celebrations, Jones turned the fans with his arm around Salah, pointing at his teammate and then to the Anfield turf, implying he is set to stay at the club.
Canada international Jonathan David bagged the equaliser for Lille in the 62nd minute, but Harvey Elliott secured the win for Liverpool just five minutes later.

Jones is having a real breakout season under Arne Slot, starting 17 of his 27 games across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing six assists in his 1464 minutes of action.
Salah, on the other hand, has arguably been the best player in the world over the last six months, starting 29 of his 31 games across all competitions, scoring 22 goals, and 17 assists in his 2600 minutes on the field.
The England international has defiantly taken to Instagram to call out the speculation, sharing an image of the two and saying: “Something else for you to speak about.”
Liverpool’s win over Lille ensures they’re the first side to qualify from the new Champions League league phase, with a trip to PSV booked before the end of the month.
Slot’s attention will be firmly on domestic affairs at the moment, however, as they prepare for a visit from relegation-threatened Ipswich Town on Saturday (January 25).
